Baz Day 1-2: Stellenbosch

Stellenbosch, South Africa gives Napa a serious run for its money. It's absolutely gorgeous. The weather is perfect. There are adorable shops like this selling, among other things, glittery cupcakes.

Also, wine tasting will set you back about $4 for five incredibly generous pours. Well, that was our experience (in town) on the first day.

On our second day, we opted to join Easy Rider for a wine tasting tour of the region. It included a visit to four wineries, a cheese tasting, a restaurant lunch and all transportation for just forty bucks. A steal compared to the $20+ you'd pay for a single tasting in California. Unfortunately, we got the one day of pouring rain (what's with us + wine + rain??) and the service isn't quite as generous when you're rolling in a group of 16.

I did however win a free bottle for answering a trivia question right. Woot woot.
