Mt. Cook

Holy guacamole. The hikes in this area offer some serious bang for your buck. The type of scenery that required an 18-mile trek to reach in Patagonia is but a two hour stroll in Mt. Cook, New Zealand. A sunny walk over swing bridges, through rivers, over look-out points, and beside glaciars. This is a serious contender for the most beautiful place we have been on this trip.

We took a ridiculous amount of photos, and I had an absolutely impossible time trying to narrow them down. Lakes in colors that defy reality. Snow-topped mountains against stark blue skies. Perfect reflections in still turquoise waters. I swear, some of these shots look like they are straight out of National Geographic magazine.

If I were you, I would get on a plane and make your way to Mt. Cook immediately. If you can't do that, do the next best thing and check out the rest of our photos HERE.
